Primary Talent Partners has a direct hire opportunity for a **Pharmacy Account Manager **to join our client. This role can be 100% remote with candidates working EST hours.

Compensation: $110,000 - $125,000 base salary, 15% bonus potential, comprehensive benefits

**Job Description:**The Pharmacy Account Manager is responsible for providing support to our member hospital and health system pharmacies to implement and optimize use of the GPO pharmacy portfolio.  The account manager establishes and maintains strong member relationships that enable rapid dissemination of important information regarding our contract portfolios, educational services, consultative offerings, technology products, and other pharmacy-centric solutions.  The account manager provides additional subject matter expertise for field leadership and staff. 

Specific tasks include but are not limited to the following:

  • Serves as the account manager to company members and field staff for pharmacy topics

  • Drives cross functional customer support incorporating internal and external solutions to assist members in driving contract penetration, member value and savings

  • Influence purchase decisions with various levels of hospital administration and staff including: pharmacy, supply chain, nursing, physicians, administration, etc.

  • Participate in projects as needed to fully support the specific clinical service line

  • Manage responses for purchase decision support, including line item price validation, comparative quote analyses, and face-to-face and telephone consultation, etc.

  • Create and facilitate member and staff education on product usage and cost efficiencies with various other internal and external subject matter experts

  • Monitor and track the sales cycle (from initial lead to close of sale) of company suppliers

  • Provide technical oversight to contracting staff in the development of contract launch and promotional materials, surveys, second sourcing events, product planning initiatives, and category specific committee meetings/presentations

  • Provide timely analyses, reviews contract pricing accuracy, keep data updated, monitor drug product recalls and notify facility pharmacy departments, provide oversight of the FDA’s DSCSA program (i.e. “Track and Trace”)

  • Display technical competency working from various data sources, take a request for information and identify the best sources to retrieve the information from

  • Demonstrate a high degree of independence and ownership of projects, and summarize data in visually appealing presentations to influence decision making

  • Facilitate member education using available resources and materials

  • Assist with new member implementation, rostering issues and orientation

  • Work with A/P to resolve pending invoice issues.

Key Responsibilities

Responsibility #1Relationship Management

  • Create and maintain effective communication with all assigned members and health-systems. 

  • Provide periodic updates to the member regarding their use of company services and opportunities to further that penetration. 

  • Participate in additional activities that nurture strong member relationships by answering questions and learning about each assigned member to suggest the portfolio of contracts and services that will establish relevance for the company in their respective pharmacy program.

  • Ultimately, the opportunity to unearth additional services and offerings that expand the member’s involvement with the company.

Responsibility #2Knowledge Transfer

  • Work closely with the membership field services staff assigned to the same members. 

  • Provide technical support in answering specific pharmacy questions and follow-up with appropriate materials to ensure the member finds value in their company ownership. 

  • Expedite the uptake of relevant information and problem resolution.

Responsibility #3Meeting/Committee Liaison

  • Coordinate the content for regional pharmacy meetings as they are scheduled and coordinated by the membership field services staff. 

  • May have involvement with negotiation of pharmaceutical purchase agreements.  May participate in discussions with suppliers regarding the sale and delivery of pharmaceutical spend data.

Required QualificationsWork Experience:

  • Years of Applicable Experience - 4 or more years

Education:

  • High School Diploma or GED (Required)

Preferred Qualifications
Skills:

  • Hospital Pharmacy

  • Account Management

Experience:

  • Knowledge of pharmaceutical supply chain desired
