Job Title: Financial Decision Support Analyst

Compensation: Up to $107.9k ($51.88/hr) – No Bonus

Location: Fully Remote

Benefits: 2 weeks PTO, 401(k) with 50% company match up to 4%

Overview:

A healthcare organization is seeking a Financial Decision Support Analyst to play a key role in financial planning and analysis. This fully remote position offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to budgeting, financial reporting, and business insights that drive decision-making across the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Budgeting & Forecasting: Develop and maintain annual operating and capital budgets, perform variance analysis, and provide recommendations for adjustments based on performance.
  • Cost & Profitability Analysis: Analyze service line and product costs, profitability, and revenue streams to identify opportunities for financial improvement and optimization.
  • Medicare Cost Reporting: Prepare, review, and ensure compliance of Medicare cost reports, collaborating with external auditors and regulatory bodies as needed.
  • Financial Modeling & Data Analysis: Utilize advanced Excel skills to build financial models, conduct data analysis, and create comprehensive reports to support strategic decisions.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with department heads and leadership to gather data, forecast financial outcomes, and provide actionable insights that align with the organization’s goals.
  • Performance Monitoring: Continuously monitor financial performance against budgets and key metrics, highlighting trends, opportunities, and risks.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Stay up-to-date with healthcare finance regulations to ensure all financial practices comply with industry standards and legal requirements.
  • Process Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements in financial reporting, budgeting, and data management to enhance overall efficiency and accuracy.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree (Finance preferred) or equivalent work experience.
  • 5+ years of financial analysis experience in a healthcare or hospital setting.
  • 2+ years of experience with Medicare cost report preparation.
  • Advanced Excel skills (financial modeling, pivot tables, macros) and familiarity with Workday or similar financial software.
