Adecco Creative and Marketing has partnered with an app streaming platform to hire a Creative Director.

This remote role has a salary range of $120K-$150K. The company is based in California; you may be required to work PST hours.

Total streaming of audio series now tops 4 billion minutes monthly.

Position Overview:

As a Creative Director for this brand, you will own and define the creative strategies of the new/existing shows on our platform, and be responsible for user acquisition and revenue growth of the shows across genres. You will lead a team of promo writers of different expertise, familiarizing them with the rules of audio storytelling, empowering them to create impactful content. You will develop and execute creative strategies to create powerful promos that achieve benchmark acquisition and retention metrics.

A successful candidate is a highly motivated individual who works comfortably and autonomously in a fast-paced and a continuous iterative environment. He or she has a strong understanding of the US entertainment landscape, and is excited about audio storytelling, streaming/OTT services, and web fiction. The right candidate has the ability

to leverage data analysis and market research to build strong convictions around promo opportunities and a demonstrated track record of turning those convictions into content acquisition opportunities that excite current users, acquire new users, and keep both coming back for more. He or she has a demonstrated ability to manage priorities and projects proactively and with limited oversight, and the right mix of organizational and communication skills to keep all stakeholders aligned.

Responsibilities:

1. Creative Strategy:

• Define and own creative strategy of the shows

• Responsible for user acquisition and revenue growth of shows across genres

• Develop impactful and engaging short and long form promos

• Periodically read, review, edit and rewrite promos when necessary

• Source ideas and inspirations from external validations to be used for writing impactful promos

• Ensure script writing and rewriting based on data based feedback (of user acquisition and retention metrics)

2. Collaboration and Cross-Functional Communication:

• Collaborate with production, marketing, and operations teams to ensure a cohesive and integrated approach to promo success

• Provide inputs on promo production with regards to music, voice over and video

• Work with cross-functional business and technical teams on initiatives such as a/b testing and data modeling, providing subject matter expertise

3. Leadership; Team Hiring; Learning & Development:

• Manage a large creative and production team (consisting of writers, leads, sound engineers and video editors)

• Recruit and evaluate team members based on requirements

• Design modules and train the team to set them up for long term success

• Develop and iterate playbook to the brand based on hits and misses

Qualifications and Experience:

● Experience writing (Screenwriting and/or Copywriting) experience (Youtube content conceptualizers, investigative journalism writers, online tabloid writers, digital entertainment/magazine writers, gaming writers/conceptualizers)

● Experience management experience leading a team of writers

● Experience as a creative lead or director owning the creative strategy and execution in a heavy

iterative environment (like gaming)

● Strong digital/performance marketing experience (having worked on customer acquisition and

retention metrics/ 360-degree performance marketing campaign strategy creation and execution)

● Bachelor's degree in Media Studies, Communications, Business, or a related field, masters preferred

● Strong understanding of media trends, audience behavior, and market dynamics

● Strong relationships within the creative community in the US is preferred

● Excellent communication, and interpersonal skills

● Ability to manage a team, fostering a culture of innovation and collaboration
