⏱️ Commitment & Compensation (Read First)

This internship is designed as a Spring–Summer experience, with an intended end date of late August.

Onboarding: Begins as soon as accepted.
Time commitment: ~36 hours per week
Compensation: Unpaid

This role is flexible. Interns are free to leave at any time if circumstances change (job offers happen, and we fully support that).

At the same time, we are specifically looking for people who apply with the intention of staying involved through the Spring and Summer so they can take real ownership of projects and see work through from start to finish.

Extensions beyond August may be possible, but are optional and never expected.

This internship requires:

Significant time and energy
Comfort working without step-by-step instruction
The ability to contribute consistently over multiple months
The financial and personal flexibility to participate in an unpaid role

About the Role

This is a remote, unpaid UI/UX Design Intern role focused on real product work.

This is not a classroom, a simulation, or a traditional corporate internship. You’ll contribute directly to a live product alongside a small, fast-moving team and learn by doing.

What You’ll Work On

Depending on your skills and interests, you may work on:

UI design and interaction design in Figma
UX flows, navigation, and usability improvements
Design systems, components, and handoff to engineering
Designing and iterating on AI-powered product experiences.

Everything you work on supports a live product used by real users.

Who Should Apply

This role is a good fit if you:

Want real startup experience and don’t currently have access to it
Are comfortable with ambiguity and learning by doing
Can communicate clearly and take ownership of your work
Are intentionally planning ahead for a Summer internship

We care more about what you’ve built (projects, coursework, side work) and how you think than formal titles or credentials.
