Job Description

AI Talent Hope is looking to hire Spanish Interpreters to work remotely. As a Spanish consecutive

medical interpreter, your primary responsibility is to facilitate communication between healthcare providers and

patients who speak Spanish.

Job Responsibilities

Interpretation:

• You will be responsible for accurately interpreting medical terminology, diagnoses, treatments, and other

information between Spanish-speaking patients and healthcare providers, including doctors, nurses, and

other medical staff.

Cultural mediation:

• You may need to provide cultural mediation services to help patients understand the healthcare system and

how to navigate it effectively. You may also need to help healthcare providers understand cultural

differences that may affect patient care.

Confidentiality:

• You must maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards in the interpretation profession.

Documentation:

• You may be responsible for documenting interpretation services provided, including the date, time,

duration, and type of interpretation.

Professional development:

• You will need to keep up-to-date with the latest medical terminology and healthcare practices to ensure

accurate interpretation.

Qualifications for Spanish Consecutive Medical Interpreter:

• Fluency in Spanish and English

• Experience in Medical interpretation or Translation

• Knowledge of medical terminology and familiarity with the healthcare system is also important.

• Good communication skills, cultural sensitivity, and the ability to work well under pressure are essential for

success in this role.

Technical Requirements:

• 15 Mbps Download and Upload USB headsets are compulsory

• Good PC (5th gen or higher with a minimum of 8GB RAM) LAN (Ethernet) connection

• HD Webcam

Timings:

• Hourly based program – EST Time Zone

• Pay Rate: 5 USD per hour.

The terms and conditions of the job are as follows:

• This is an Independent Contractor Position.

• The position requires you to perform interpretation services over the phone and via video with a

professional background, high-speed internet, and a good-quality PC/laptop with a USB Headset.

• You will be paid 5 USD per hour.

• You will be given an hourly shift program, and you will work in the EST time zone.

• Payment will be made monthly via Payoneer only.

• After accepting the offer, you will be added to our training program.

• The training will start on 9th April 2026. All new hires are required to complete a mandatory training

program consisting of 80 hours, spread over a period of 10 business days.

• The training is paid, where the participants will be paid at 100% (full) of their agreed rate. Training payment

will be made regardless of the onboarding date, provided the interpreter passes the assessment and starts

working with the company.

• In addition, we offer attendance and QA bonuses as part of our incentive structure.

• The timings will be conveyed to you a couple of days before the training.

• We will request your final assessment through LanguageStat.

• If you pass the assessment, you will receive the credentials from the client to access the portal.

• You can simply log in to the portal during your shift times to take calls. Our IT team will provide training and

guidance on the platform.

• No leave is allowed during the first month of employment, except in case of an emergency where prior

approval from the supervisor is required.

Screening Questions:

• Are you fluent in both Spanish and English?

• How many years of experience do you have in interpretation (especially medical interpretation)?

• How comfortable are you with medical terminology and healthcare-related conversations?

• Are you available to work remotely for both OPI (audio) and VRI (video) interpretation, and what is your

availability (hours/time zone)?

• Are you comfortable with the pay rate of $5 per hour, and do you have a quiet, professional workspace to

handle confidential medical conversations?
