Senior Project Manager - Data Governance & IAM - Full remote - Contractor in USD

For an international project in Chennai, we are urgently looking for a Full Remote Senior Project Manager with extensive experience in business process modeling, data governance and knowledge in Identity and Access Management (IAM).


We are looking for a motivated contractor. Candidates need to be fluent in English.


Tasks and responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute detailed project plans, including timelines, milestones, resource allocation and budgets;
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring delivery within scope, budget, and schedule;
  • Facilitate safe-agile practices, including scrum meetings, to promote productivity and collaboration;
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks and develop contingency plans;
  • Prepare and present regular status reports and stakeholder presentations on project progress and outcomes;
  • Provide expertise in identity and access management (IAM) to support security engineering projects;
  • Collaborate with architects to design and implement IAM solutions aligned with strategic objectives;
  • Manage IAM technologies such as PlainID, Microsoft Entra ID, SailPoint and AWS IAM;
  • Develop and enforce IAM policies and procedures to ensure compliance and reduce risk;
  • Implement and maintain data privacy measures to protect sensitive information;
  • Conduct risk assessments and audits to ensure compliance with data privacy regulations;
  • Manage data privacy tools including OneTrust, Microsoft Priva, Informatica DPM, and Collibra;
  • Work closely with onsite teams to coordinate project activities and ensure integration;
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand requirements and align project objectives;
  • Facilitate communication between offshore and onsite teams for effective delivery;
  • Provide technical leadership in solution design, architecture, and development for IAM and data privacy projects;
  • Collaborate with architects to design scalable and secure solutions;
  • Develop reference architecture diagrams and technical documentation;
  • Lead evaluation and selection of IAM and data privacy technologies;
  • Manage Azure DevOps pipelines to support CI/CD practices;
  • Implement access control policies using natural language policy frameworks;
  • Provide hands-on expertise in Azure Cloud Security, including identity protection and secure development;
  • Ensure integration of IAM and data privacy solutions with enterprise systems;
  • Conduct technical reviews and audits to optimize performance and ensure compliance;
  • Mentor and guide project teams on technical best practices and quality delivery;


Profile:

  • Bachelor or Master degree;
  • +8 years of hands-on experience in project management;
  • +5 years of experience in security engineering, solution design, architecture, and agile project management, with a focus on IAM and data privacy projects;
  • Knowledge and hands-on experience in Azure Cloud Security, IAM technologies (e.g., PlainID, Microsoft Entra ID Governance, Okta, SailPoint), and data privacy tools (e.g., OneTrust, Microsoft Priva, Informatica DPM);
  • Proven ability to design and implement scalable, secure, and high-performance IAM and data privacy solutions;
  • Experience with reference architecture diagrams, access control policy frameworks, and CI/CD practices using Azure DevOps;
  • Proven experience as a Scrum Master in Agile environments with excellent project management skills, including leading large teams and managing multiple projects simultaneously;
  • Strong leadership skills with experience managing offshore teams and delivering complex
