Responsibilities

We are seeking an experienced Senior Manager – Compliance, the Americas to lead and enhance our healthcare and regulatory compliance program in the US, Canada & Mexico, with a strong focus on healthcare compliance. This role is central to ensuring we comply with relevant regulations and reinforcing the culture of ethics and accountability across the Americas. This role is a people manager role, managing a team of 2 others.

This position may be remote or on-site (in Miami Lakes, FL) and is open to qualified candidates anywhere in the U.S.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, implement and simplify (where appropriate) the company’s compliance program, policies, and procedures, explaining the HOW , the WHAT and the WHY .
  • Ensure compliance with applicable laws, including U.S. healthcare laws and regulations, including those enforced by the FDA and industry standards like those of AdvaMed US.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to provide compliance business partnership across FDA-regulated activities, including clinical trials, labeling, marketing, product launch, manufacturing, and post-market surveillance.
  • Monitor regulatory changes and industry best practices; assess and communicate their impact to relevant stakeholders.
  • Lead and manage internal investigations (together with in-house or external counsel) related to potential compliance concerns or misconduct. Ensure appropriate documentation, root cause analysis, and remediation.
  • Conduct compliance risk assessments and oversee implementation of risk mitigation plans.
  • Develop and deliver compliance training and communications across the organization.
  • Support internal and external audits and FDA inspections, including follow-up and remediation efforts.
  • Lead the Americas Compliance Committee.
  • Serve as a trusted business partner on compliance issues and reinforce a culture of integrity throughout the organization.
  • Prepare and present regular compliance reports to business leaders.
  • Additional duties and responsibilities as needed

Qualifications

Required :

  • Minimum of 12 years experience or combination of education and experience in healthcare compliance, with deep familiarity in FDA regulations, AdvaMed US Rules and some experience in internal investigations.
  • Bachelor’s degree required in legal, compliance, healthcare management or other relevant field.
  • Candidates with backgrounds in legal, compliance, regulatory affairs, quality assurance, finance, internal audit, sales, marketing or other relevant field will be considered.
  • Strong knowledge of U.S. healthcare and medical device regulatory frameworks.
  • Proven ability to manage investigations confidentially and effectively.
  • Excellent analytical, communication and interpersonal skills with senior management and peers across functions.
  • Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and comfortable working independently in a remote setting

Preferred Qualifications

Preferred :

  • Advanced degree (e.g., JD, MBA, MPH) or certification (e.g., CPA, RN, etc).
  • Ability to write/speak Spanish and/or Portuguese

  • Aligning compliance initiatives with business strategy and risk appetite
  • Uncompromising commitment to doing what is right, even under pressure
