The Salesforce Administrator will be responsible for the ongoing optimization of the Salesforce solution used by the Commercial Group Operations, which is a part of Optum Financial. The Salesforce Administrator will identify and ensure implementation of solutions that meet business requirements utilizing the Salesforce platform. They will also perform system administrator tasks such as user provisioning and reporting. They also work to maintain the application’s core functionalities as to ensure a consistent user experience.
This role will work with key business and IT partners to develop strategic plans for the technologies impacting Member and Provider services. This individual is a self-starter; with the ability to identify and pursue opportunities without being provided explicit direction. Solid presentation skills, analytic skills, a desire for continuous learning, and a passion for improving user experiences using technology are essential. This position will begin as an individual contributor and build a small team.

Primary Responsibilities
- Planning:
- Develops user stories and creates appropriate tasks for completion
- When applicable, consults with scrum team during user story refining
- Recommends Salesforce solutions targeting or building upon business requirements
- Execution:
- Customizes objects, fields and layouts
- Completes application configurations per business requirements
- Practical understanding of Scrum principles and practices, as this role will partner with IT partners to complete certain tasks
- Actively participates in backlog grooming sessions, retrospectives, defect management and project team’s release planning sessions
- Maintains and manages user base in production
- Keeps up to date with new Salesforce features and releases
- Managerial Responsibilities:
- Lead and mentor a team, providing guidance and support to ensure the team is effectively managing the Salesforce platform and delivering high-quality solutions
- Provide ongoing training and support to team members, ensuring they are proficient in their roles and aware of new features and updates
- Stay abreast of industry best practices and proactively identify opportunities to improve processes and enhance user experience
- Plan, execute, and oversee projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within scope, and within budget, balancing priorities to meet multiple deadlines
- Communicate critical issues to senior management promptly and clearly, providing comprehensive information to facilitate informed decision-making
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of relevant experience working with Salesforce
- Experience creating reports in Salesforce
- Experience driving teams and management to decisions and obtaining difficult information and answers
- Experience working with cross functional teams
- Experience working with various teams simultaneously
- Experience systematically analyzing problems, drawing relevant conclusions, and devising appropriate courses of action
- Advanced knowledge of Salesforce as a platform
- Demonstrate strategic thinking by using appropriate information to diagnose problems, identify possible solutions and collaborate with impacted groups to drive decisions
- 2+ years managerial experience
- Healthcare insurance industry experience
- Salesforce Health Cloud Experience
- Experience in working with Agile/Scrum work environment
- Experience with Salesforce as a Certified System Administrator
- Demonstrated ability to effectively break down barriers to maintain progress on initiatives
- Demonstrated to be diplomatic with solid negotiation and conflict resolution skills
- Demonstrated to be adept at adjusting to changing circumstances quickly and professionally
- Demonstrated ability to make quick decisions when clarification or modification is needed
- Demonstrated excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication with both technical and business audiences
- Demonstrated to be self-directed and able to drive detailed solutions to completion with minimal oversight
- Demonstrated to be detail oriented and highly organized
- Demonstrated solid attention to detail
