- Salary: $5.500.000 - $6.000.000 COP
We are seeking a Mid-level Web Developer with strong WordPress expertise to support the development, optimization, and maintenance of digital platforms. This role requires excellent technical skills, problem-solving abilities, and fluency in English to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
Responsibilities
- Develop, customize, and maintain WordPress websites (themes, templates, plugins).
- Implement front-end updates using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, ensuring responsive and accessible design.
- Support backend tasks such as configuring plugins, optimizing performance, managing databases, and handling integrations.
- Implement third-party integrations (CRM forms, marketing tools, analytics, etc.).
- Ensure websites meet performance, security, and SEO technical standards.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues efficiently (bugs, responsiveness problems, form errors, plugin conflicts).
- Perform regular updates, backups, testing, and QA before deployments.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to execute planned website enhancements and features.
- Document technical changes, configurations, and processes.
- Contribute to improving workflows, quality standards, and development practices.
- Minimum 2–3 years of experience as a Web Developer or WordPress Developer.
- Strong proficiency in WordPress, including custom themes, child themes, plugins, and site configuration.
- Solid understanding of PHP, MySQL, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and REST API usage.
- Experience optimizing site speed, caching, and security.
- Ability to work with Git and GitHub, including branching, version control workflows, and pull requests.
- Experience working with designs from Figma or similar tools.
- Strong troubleshooting abilities and ownership of task completion.
- Ability to communicate clearly in English (written and spoken).
- Reliable, organized, and able to deliver work on time.
- To perform this role effectively, you must have:
- A quiet home office space to work optimally.
- A stable internet connection (minimum 100 MB).
- A laptop/desktop with updated software.
- A secondary backup internet option to ensure reliability.
