SureLine Capital is a smaller, family-owned commercial finance company that provides nationwide factoring primarily to the transportation industry, but we have experience with a wide variety of other industries and commercial market segments. We’re looking for someone that wants to help build our growing company and get in on the ground floor!
The VP of Business Development is expected to be someone who loves to establish new relationships through a variety of sales development techniques (cold calling, networking, strategic partnerships, referral sources, etc.) and will build and expand SureLine Capital’s market share by driving B2B sales of SureLine’s commercial finance product known as factoring. The VP of Business Development is expected to originate 3-10 new client relationships within the transportation industry each month and maintain quality contacts to generate additional leads and close commercial transactions while being instrumental in developing sales strategies and an effective leader within the organization.
SureLine is a smaller but growing company and there is a lot of room for the right candidate along with the opportunity to develop and lead a sales team. SureLine is offering an aggressive commission incentive for the right individual with other exciting future opportunities!
Responsibilities:
· Make 30-50 cold calls every single day with the ability to follow-up daily on leads
· Work with industry partners (dispatchers, DOT compliance companies, load boards, etc.) to establish strategic partnerships
· Have a strong knowledge of commercial financing, factoring, and the transportation industry in general
· Develop and maintain a current pipeline of commercial customers, especially within the transportation industry, to originate new factoring facilities
· Originate new factoring facilities of $1,500,000 and below
· Screen clients and proposed transactions
· Present term sheets and proposals to prospective clients
· Maximize profitability on each transaction
· Gather all the required documentation to properly underwrite a credit request
· Responsible for negotiating terms and structure on factoring facilities
· Close the sale and maintain an exceptional relationship with the customer throughout the client’s life cycle
· Maintain a high level of professionalism and energy
· Ensure compliance with all internally establish policies and procedures
Education and Experience Requirements:
· Eager to build a growing company from the ground up
· 5+ years in B2B sales in transportation factoring
· Have a high degree of organization to ensure leads are being tracked, moving through the sales cycle, and ensuring proper reporting of your pipeline
· Proven sales track record
· Established referral network
· Self-motivated and capable of working from home without direct supervision
· Possess exceptional verbal and written communication skills
· An individual driven by results and that desires to grow along with our organization
· Minimum of two years managing individuals and teams
· Demonstrated ability to work in a self-directed and fast paced environment
· Advanced skills with the Microsoft Office package (especially Excel)
· Confidence, tact, and a professional demeanor
· Identifies critical issues with ease
