Role Overview

We are seeking a seasoned and innovative Vice President of Engineering to join our dynamic team. In this remote role, you will collaborate closely with our current Technical & Development leader, who brings over 20 years of diverse experience from Northrop Grumman Corporation, including executive management roles in the Power & Controls business.

Responsibilities

Collaborative Leadership

  • Collaborate closely to understand and contribute to the successful development of the wind turbine program.
  • Gradually assume responsibilities over the next year, fostering a smooth transition.

Strategic Planning and Execution

  • Contribute to the strategic development and execution of engineering plans aligned with business objectives.
  • Leverage experience in developing unique sensor technologies for underseas, terrestrial, airborne, and space platforms to drive innovation in wind turbine technology.

Team Management and Development

  • Lead and mentor engineering teams, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
  • Utilize a background in executive management and leading large teams to drive operational excellence.

Project Oversight

  • Oversee engineering projects, ensuring timely delivery, adherence to budget, and meeting quality standards.
  • Apply experience in leading the Power & Controls business with $250MM in annual revenue and a team of 450 people to enhance project management capabilities.

Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor’s or advanced degree in Engineering or a related field.
  • 7–12 years of proven experience in a senior engineering leadership role.

Preferred

  • Strong technical expertise in wind turbine technology and related systems.
  • Excellent project management and strategic planning skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and mentor engineering teams.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience working in a collaborative role with an executive leader, preferably in the renewable energy or aerospace industry.
  • Familiarity with unique sensor technologies, particularly those applicable to underseas, terrestrial, airborne, and space platforms.
