🚨 Co-Founder Engineer (Equity-Only) – Build a Conversational AI to Help Patients Find Clinical Trials

URMA is building an emotionally intelligent, AI-powered assistant to guide patients through the complex world of clinical trials. Unlike sponsor-focused trial tools, URMA is being built for patients—to empower them with understanding, trust, and choice through a beautiful, conversational interface. Others may have built trial finding AIs but ours is a true, radical rethink, designed to shakeup this industry.

🔍 What We’re Looking For

A mission-driven technical co-founder to help architect and build the MVP. You’ll join two experienced founders (healthcare, marketing, AI, UX) who are deeply committed to patient empowerment and long-term impact.

This is a co-founder equity-only role—no salary until we raise. We’re offering 30% founder equity, alongside two other co-founders (30% each), with 10% reserved for future team members. The vesting schedule is founder-standard: 4 years with a 1-year cliff.

💡 Our Goal

Build the MVP, prove traction, raise a seed round to fund a 3-year runway, and pay ourselves up to $125K/year with standard benefits—so we can all go full time on the startup. No one on the team is drawing a salary until the seed round closes. We're aligned in mission and commitment.

🧪 Our Hiring Process

Instead of coding tests for final candidates, we believe in building something real together.

We’ll co-design a 2-week collaborative project with you—simple, scoped, and meaningful. The purpose is to test chemistry, collaboration, and alignment.

You’ll retain all IP and ownership of anything you build
URMA will make no claim on the output
To protect both sides, we’ll sign a Mutual Evaluation Agreement (MEA) before we start. This ensures that:

You own what you create
We protect confidential company information
Everyone has legal clarity

If it’s a fit, we’ll:

✅ Incorporate as a Delaware C-Corp

✅ Sign a founder vesting agreement (4 years with a 1-year cliff)

✅ Allocate equity (30/30/30/10)

✅ Begin MVP development ahead of our seed raise

Conversational AI: OpenAI API, LangChain, and/or Rasa, Dialogflow
API Integration: ClinicalTrials.gov, RESTful APIs
Security: OAuth2, HIPAA-secure infra, PHI data handling
Bonus: Startup experience, healthtech, NLU/NLP
