With North American market a strategic priority, we are seeking a savvy, socially focused and culturally-connected Beauty Marketing Lead to elevate the Lanolips brand by driving Social strategy, retail eventing and marketing, influencer strategy, brand-building campaigns, and media visibility. This is a highly creative and strategic role, with executional accountability across multiple brand touchpoints.
Position Overview
The Beauty Marketing Lead will assist in building the architecture of Lanolips’ brand equity and cultural relevance in North America.
In conjunction with the Brand Director, this person will lead the vision, strategy, and execution of all integrated marketing and public relations efforts, managing brand storytelling across influencer relations, media, social, events, and retail. The role is a high-impact blend of strategy and creativity, supporting both consumer awareness and retailer visibility.
They will manage a Social Media Manager and work directly with the North America Brand Director to shape perception, drive sales, and make Lanolips a “cool must-have” in beauty.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Brand Building
- Assist in building and executing the annual North American brand marketing strategy with a core focus on Social Media.
- Lead 360° marketing campaigns across owned, earned, and paid channels.
- Shape Lanolips’ positioning to stand out in the premium beauty landscape and resonate with new audiences.
- Create targeted campaigns that align with retailer focus and social niches.
Social & Community Collaboration
- Oversee the Social Media strategy and align all social output with broader campaign goals.
- Collaborate on content strategies that amplify campaign moments across TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube.
- Develop and build out the social media and community team
- Support paid and owned digital activations as part of broader campaign ecosystem.
Influencer & Talent Marketing
- Build and own influencer strategy that drives high Earned Media Value (EMV) and buzz.
- Oversee the Development of strategic partnerships with macro/micro influencers, celebrity makeup artists, tastemakers, and trendsetters.
- Lead all aspects of influencer campaign design, sourcing, briefing, negotiation, and deliverables.
- Assess and develop social and community tools for the North America market.
- Track KPIs including EMV, engagement, reach, and content quality to refine approach.
Event Planning & Execution
- Own regional experiential marketing including product launches, consumer activations, influencer dinners, editor events, and pop-ups.
- Ideate and produce events that align with seasonal campaigns, product moments, and cultural moments (e.g., Fashion Week).
- Ensure all events ladder up to EMV, social buzz, and retail conversion.
Media & Communications
- Work with global HQ on regional brand PR and media relations — from launch storytelling to seasonal narratives and proactive pitching.
- Lead external agency partners and manage PR budgets with North American Brand Director
Retail Marketing & Events
- With Brand Director, Ideate and execute high-impact retail marketing campaigns that support velocity and in-store sell-through.
- Plan and manage experiential consumer-facing events, in-store activations, and trade shows linked with Social Media strategy
Cross-Functional & Global Collaboration
- Work closely with global creative, eCommerce, education, and operations teams to ensure brand cohesion.
- Liaise with global HQ and NA retail partners to build out co-branded efforts and brand-right activations
Budget & Administration
- With Brand Director, Manage social media, community and PR budget
- Oversee vendors, agency partnerships, and creative partners as needed.
- Mentor and develop junior team members and agency support.
Qualifications
- Minimum 5–10 years of experience in beauty, luxury beauty, or fashion marketing.
- Proven success managing brand public relations, brand campaigns, social, and influencer partnerships.
- Strong network of U.S. beauty media, influencers, celebrity stylists, and industry contacts.
- Deep understanding of the cultural mood and evolving consumer behaviors.
- Highly organized, agile, and able to manage multiple projects at once.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Strategic thinker with hands-on executional skills.
- Experience in event planning, trade shows, retail marketing, and cross-functional project leadership.
- Passionate about beauty, clean formulations, and emerging trends.
