The Role

The Senior Director, PXBP is the lead PX business partner for the Global Supply Chain Organization. This position will partner closely with the leadership teams of the Product Development, Regional Operations, Global Supply and Global Sourcing organizations. Will also work closely with PX COE leads, PXBPs and regional PX partners to implement PX programs and talent plans that support the business strategy, talent strategy and culture across client groups.

Your Impact

Client Group Partnership

  • Strategic Consulting: Collaborate with business executives, leaders, and teams to develop strategies that drive productivity, growth and engagement in alignment with the overall business objectives.
  • Be a thought partner and trusted advisor for assigned business units, working closely with senior leaders and supporting throughout the employee base.
  • Stay well connected to the business, developing a deep understanding of their business & strategy and how it impacts other cross-functional teams.
  • Strengthen organizational leadership by coaching employees and leaders at all levels, including through sensitive situations.
  • Identify signals in the organization through formal and informal means, i.e. listening/regular connection, analysis of employee surveys & people data; Identify needs before issues arise and/or gaps widen
  • Support the alignment of business unit talent plans with required capabilities for the future to achieve Deckers strategic growth plans; Develop effective change management plans with leaders to support through organizational growth and evolution
  • Assess organizational needs utilizing data and partner with Talent Management/OD to drive solutions through org design, talent acquisition, L&D, change management, retention, DEI and career and leadership development, etc.
  • Partner with TM/OD & BPs to support the creation of career journeys within and across business units
  • Serves as a Cultural Champion responsible for creating and implementing initiatives across the organization fostering the Deckers Values.

PX Partnership

  • Collaborate closely and share knowledge with PXBPs (HQ & regional) and COEs to ensure a clear and common understanding of broader business needs and interdependencies across client groups; Identify areas of synergy and opportunities for scale, as well as areas of overlap or conflict
  • Be a champion & advocate of global talent priorities and support the successful rollout of Deckers people practices & programs within client groups, including performance management, headcount prioritization/management, goal setting, compensation processes, workforce planning, policies, etc. Partner with colleagues to deliver seamless PX experiences across the global business.

  • Seek advice, redirect and/or escalate employee matters where appropriate to People Success, ER, Compensation, Benefits, and other COEs
  • Partner with People Success team to ensure data accuracy for client groups

  • Lead and mentor a global team of talented PXBPs, and generalists providing guidance and support in all aspects of PX management.

Who You Are

12+ years progressive HR experience with increasing scope as an HRBP (or closely related function) in a matrixed, high-growth environment

  • 6+ years leading a team of HR professionals at varying levels of experience, global locations; Experience successfully coaching, developing, and mentoring a distributed team
  • Experience collaborating closely with COEs, regional/global HR leaders, and senior business leaders, developing solutions in partnership
  • Demonstrated experience influencing and establishing trusting partnerships
  • Experience providing HR partnership to a global operations organization preferred, in areas including supply chain, planning, logistics & distribution, manufacturing, etc.
  • Experience implementing holistic talent plans that support the attraction, development, retention, and succession of specialized talent aligned with assigned client-base
  • Experience implementing future-focused and well-connected talent strategies in partnership with COEs

$255,000 - $270,000

The salary range posted reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for this role in our Goleta, CA location. Individual pay will be determined by location and additional factors, including job related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
