We are seeking a highly experienced Staff Engineer to lead the development of our user interface and backend systems, enabling everyday users to interact seamlessly with our generative AI technology. In this role, you will be responsible for building and maintaining our SaaS web application, which serves as the core interface for our cutting-edge AI tools. Reporting directly to the Head of Engineering, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the technical architecture and ensuring the scalability, security, and performance of our platform. You will contribute to all stages of the software development lifecycle, from initial design to deployment and maintenance, while collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to implement growth initiatives and new product features. Qualifications
- 10+ years of comprehensive experience in both backend and frontend software engineering.
- Proven track record as a Staff or Principal Engineer or in a similar senior technical leadership role.
- Strong proficiency in ReactJS, NextJS, Typescript, and NodeJS.
- Experience working with SaaS products, marketing tools, creator tools, and/or machine learning platforms is highly desirable.
- Deep understanding of the entire product development lifecycle, including early-stage product design and scaling.
- Experience in rapidly scaling SaaS startups, demonstrating agility and innovation.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms, multi-tenant architectures, and application security best practices.
- Bonus: Based in the San Francisco Bay Area or willing to work within the specified time zones.
- Lead the development and enhancement of our SaaS web application, including both frontend and backend components.
- Contribute to all phases of the software development lifecycle, ensuring high-quality, maintainable, and scalable code.
- Design, implement, and optimize CI/CD pipelines to facilitate rapid deployment and continuous improvement.
- Create and enforce processes, policies, and documentation to ensure application security, privacy, and operational stability.
- Establish and support architectural patterns and best practices across front-end, back-end, and cloud infrastructure.
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other engineering teams to deliver innovative features aligned with business goals.
- Mentor junior team members, fostering a culture of technical excellence and continuous learning.
- Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends to incorporate best practices into our platform.
