Software Engineer Intern

Medicusdata makes the lives of doctors easier by empowering them with AI tools. Our speech-to-text platform is used in practices and hospitals across Switzerland. We are all about simplicity - our tools are easy to install and use, so that doctors are often able to set-up Medicusdata straight from our website and instantly save hours on documentation work.

Note: Should the internship go well, there will be an offer for a full position.

Responsibilities

You will

- contribute to our core product-design, implement and ship new features in our speech-to-text pipeline

- work across the stack (mobile, backend, web)

- write and maintain clean, well-tested code

As a startup, we lean heavily into new technology that can improve efficiency, especially AI tools. We see them as a valuable addition to complement our skills and are constantly evolving alongside those tools. We see this as a necessity to keep up with ever changing customer requirements, a constantly evolving product and a software stack that includes many different frameworks and programming languages. You should feel comfortable working in such an environment and team.

Qualifications

- Hands-on experience with modern languages (Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, C#, etc.)

- Intellectual curiosity and ability to adapt quickly

- Strong problem-solving mindset and attention to detail

- Good communication skills and able to work both independently and in small teams

- Ideally: Familiarity with REST APIs, SQL databases, Kubernetes and cloud environments.
