Asociația "Drumeții Montane" is a nonprofit organization founded on October 19, 2010, with the mission to protect nature and promote ecological education. Inspired by Romania's extraordinary natural landscapes, the association collaborates with public authorities, educational institutions, and protected area administrators to foster eco-sport-tourism activities. The organization leads Romania's largest ecological education project, Eco Junior, partnering with over 700 schools in Romania and Moldova. In addition to environmental initiatives, the association spearheads a canine Search and Rescue division, Mantrailing, training dogs to locate missing persons by scent. Embracing community participation, the association invites individuals to contribute to creating a sustainable and harmonious relationship with the environment.

Role Description

This is a remote volunteer role for a Social Media Content Creator. The selected candidate will craft and curate engaging content for social media platforms, ensure consistent online presence, and implement creative strategies to amplify the organization’s mission. Responsibilities will include managing social media accounts, creating schedules for posts, analyzing engagement metrics, responding to online comments or inquiries, and staying updated on social media trends.

Qualifications

Content creation and social media management skills, including knowledge of platforms like Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter.
Proficiency in developing and executing social media strategies tailored to environmental or nonprofit sectors.
Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills for engaging content creation, including visual and written formats.
Familiarity with understanding and interpreting analytics tools to assess performance and tweak strategies effectively.
Ability to work independently and remotely, demonstrating organizational and communication skills.
Passion for environmental protection and promoting ecological education.
Experience in volunteering or working with non-profit organizations is a plus.
