Senior Software Engineer - Kora Global
We’re not just building better tech. We’re rewriting how data moves and what the world can do with it. With Confluent, data doesn’t sit still. Our platform puts information in motion, streaming in near real-time so companies can react faster, build smarter, and deliver experiences as dynamic as the world around them.
It takes a certain kind of person to join this team. Those who ask hard questions, give honest feedback, and show up for each other. No egos, no solo acts. Just smart, curious humans pushing toward something bigger, together.
One Confluent. One Team. One Data Streaming Platform.
About The Role
The Kora Global team is part of the broader Kora Orchestration organization working towards re-imagining Apache Kafka as a cloud native data serverless - fully serverless, multi-tenant, and at scale. You will work on building the next generation Kafka by continuing to push the boundaries of distributed system design.
The Kora Global team focuses on crucial elements of Confluent's global replication infrastructure. These include Cluster Linking, MultiRegion Cluster (MRC) and Confluent Replicator, as well as building out the next generation global replication technologies.. These technologies help customers deploy and manage Confluent clusters across multiple regions for high availability and disaster recovery.
As a Senior Software Engineer on the Kora Global team, you will be working on developing and improving Confluent's global replication offerings. You will be instrumental in driving the technical solutions end-to-end, working closely with the team and key stakeholders to design, architect, and develop top-notch solutions. You'll collaborate with product managers, engineers, and other team members. This role will involve working on highly available, reliable, secure, scalable, and multi-tenant aspects of Kora's orchestration layer.
