Senior Project Manager – IT Modernization/Transformation

About The Opportunity

This role is ideal for a seasoned project leader who enjoys turning complex technology and business challenges into clear, successful delivery. As a Senior Project Manager, you will lead IT modernization and transformation initiatives across multiple industries, with a strong focus on healthcare and technology-enabled change. You will work closely with business, clinical, and IT stakeholders to deliver solutions that improve care, operations, and customer or patient experience.

What You Will Do

  • Lead end-to-end delivery of medium to large IT modernization/transformation projects, from initial planning through go-live and stabilization
  • Define clear project scope, objectives, benefits, deliverables, and success measures with business, clinical, and technology partners
  • Build and manage detailed project plans, including schedule, budget, resources, dependencies, risks, and issues
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams across business, clinical, operations, technology, vendors, and partners to keep work aligned and on track
  • Run project governance, including status reporting, steering committee meetings, and executive updates, tailored to healthcare and non-healthcare settings
  • Apply proven project management methods and standards to drive consistent, high-quality delivery
  • Manage third-party vendors and service providers, including contracts, milestones, and performance
  • Anticipate and address roadblocks early, driving decisions and trade-offs to protect scope, schedule, and value

What you bring

  • 7–10 years of progressive experience leading IT modernization and transformation projects (for example, EHR/EMR, ERP/CRM, cloud migrations, data platforms, digital front door or similar initiatives)
  • Experience delivering projects in both public/government and private sector organizations
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
  • Additional project management certifications (such as PRINCE2, Agile, Scrum, SAFe, or equivalent) strongly preferred
  • Formal training in project management methodologies, frameworks, and tools
  • Proven track record of delivering complex, cross-functional projects on time and within budget
  • Familiarity with healthcare environments, regulations, and workflows, or other complex, highly regulated industries
