Senior FP&A Consultant

Senior FP&A Consultant (Contract – SaaS / Remote, EST)
We are seeking an experienced Senior FP&A Consultant to support a rapidly growing SaaS organization. This fully remote role (EST-based candidates only) will focus on advanced financial modeling, monthly forecasting, ARR data management, and cross-system data alignment across Salesforce, Sage Intacct, and Maxio. The consultant will play a critical role in the upcoming 2026 budgeting cycle and will collaborate closely with senior finance leadership to deliver timely, accurate, and insight-driven financial outputs.
This is a 2–3-month contract opportunity, offering $60–$70/hour, depending on experience.
Responsibilities:
  • Refine, maintain, and optimize complex Excel-based financial models used for actuals, forecasts, and budget cycles, ensuring accuracy and usability for operational stakeholders.
  • Perform monthly updates to financial models, integrating actuals, budgets, headcount, operating expenses, and ARR inputs across the full three-statement model (P&L, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow).
  • Identify and implement automation opportunities within Excel (e.g., Power Query, macros, data connections) to streamline processes and enhance reporting consistency.
  • Manage, validate, and enhance the ARR and subscription database to ensure accurate cohort tracking, bookings, renewals, churn, expansion, and other SaaS performance metrics.
  • Reconcile and troubleshoot data inconsistencies across Salesforce, Sage Intacct, and Maxio as part of a broader systems-integration and data-quality initiative.
  • Support senior finance leadership—including the CFO, VP of Finance, and Controller—throughout the 2026 budget cycle, contributing to analysis, scenario planning, and preparation for the final Board presentation in January 2026.
  • Conduct ad hoc financial analyses, deep dives, variance reviews, and model improvements during peak budgeting periods.
Qualifications:
  • 5–8+ years of FP&A, financial modeling, or related finance experience.
  • SaaS industry background is required, including hands-on experience with subscription/ARR modeling and SaaS KPI reporting.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field required; MBA or CFA a plus.
  • Expert-level Excel skills with demonstrated ability to build, enhance, and troubleshoot complex financial models.
  • Strong understanding of SaaS ARR mechanics and KPI frameworks (e.g., retention, expansion, cohort analysis, CAC payback, LTV).
  • Experience with Salesforce, Sage Intacct, and Maxio strongly preferred, or demonstrated ability to quickly learn financial and RevOps systems.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with senior stakeholders.
