Job Title:             Sr. Financial Analyst

Flow Canada LLC. is looking for a Sr. Financial Analyst to join their collaborative, dedicated and proactive team.

Salary Range:

$90,000 to $105,000

Placement within the posted salary range is determined through a structured evaluation process that considers factors including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, education, and geographic location.

Position summary:

The Senior Financial Analyst supports the Finance team in core accounting activities and financial analysis while ensuring continued compliance with current regulations and policies. This role strengthens reporting accuracy, enhances visibility into revenue and cost drivers, and provides analytical support for budgeting, forecasting, and operational decision-making. The position is pivotal to improving business performance, business insights and reporting efficiency.

Responsibilities:

Financial Accounting & Reporting

·        Support month-end close through reconciliations, accrual reviews, and variance explanations.

·        Assist in preparing financial statements and management reporting packages.

·        Maintain balance sheet integrity and support audit and compliance requirements.

·        Ensure accuracy of revenue, COGS, and operating expense classifications.

Financial Analysis & Business Support

·        Conduct variance analysis across revenue, COGS, SG&A, and margin drivers.

·        Prepare recurring financial performance reports and dashboards.

·        Support budgeting and forecasting processes through data preparation and analytical insights.

·        Assist with pricing analysis, profitability reviews, and cost optimization initiatives.

·        Collaborate with sales and operations to validate assumptions and explain performance drivers.

Process Improvements

·        Identify opportunities to automate reporting processes and development of KPIs.

·        Improve data integrity and financial controls.

·        Translate financial data into actionable summaries for business stakeholders.

Competencies and Skills:

Skills:

  • Excellent computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong analytical skills for interpreting financial data and trends
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with others.
  • Strong attention to details for accurate financial reporting

 

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting or Equivalent Work Experience
  • CPA designation (an asset).

Experience:

  • 3 to 5 years in a similar role.
  • Experience working within the CPG (Consumer Packaged Goods) industry, preferably in the beverage sector.

Working Conditions:

This is a Canada-based remote role. Candidates are required to work Eastern Standard Time (EST) hours and maintain consistent core-hour availability to support effective collaboration and team engagement.
