What You'll Be Doing
- Apply advanced statistical and actuarial techniques to support pricing, reserving, catastrophe modeling, or claims analytics initiatives.
- Analyze complex datasets, identify trends, and generate insights that inform product development and rate filings.
- Design and refine actuarial models and processes, with an eye toward automation and scalability.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with product, finance, underwriting, and tech teams to solve business challenges.
- Communicate technical findings and strategic implications to stakeholders across all levels of the organization.
- Lead or contribute to internal initiatives to improve forecasting, compliance, and operational effectiveness.
- Use tools like Python, SQL, R, SAS, or BI platforms to support analysis and reporting efforts.
What You Bring
- 4+ years of actuarial or analytical experience in the insurance industry.
- Near-ACAS (no more than two exams remaining) with all VEE requirements completed.
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field – or equivalent experience.
- Familiarity with personal lines products, especially property insurance.
- Working knowledge of industry tools and best practices in pricing, reserving, or catastrophe risk.
- Proficiency in analytical programming languages and data visualization platforms.
- Experience translating technical insights for non-technical audiences.
Preferred Qualifications
- Exposure to Earnix, or similar rating/pricing platforms.
- Experience supporting new product launches in a regulated environment.
- Background in property pricing or rate filing across multiple jurisdictions.
- Military affiliation (veteran or spouse/domestic partner of military personnel) is a plus.
