Quality Assurance Tester
Our Federal Government Client requires the services of a Quality Assurance Tester Level 3 in support of their ongoing major projects.
Contract Details:
- Client: Federal Government - Financial Client
- Role: QA Tester L3
- Contract Duration: ASAP - End of December 2025 but project will be extended for up to 3 years.

Tasks:
Working with the project team, the Quality Assurance Tester Level 3 tasks include but are not limited to the following:
- Lead the creation and execution of comprehensive test strategies to validate the functionality, performance, and security of Power Platform solutions, ensuring alignment with business requirements and technical specifications.
- Collaborate with development teams to understand the architecture and design of Power Platform solutions, to develop effective test cases and plans.
- Lead test planning activities and provide feedback on requirements and specifications.
- Develop and maintain a detailed backlog in Azure DevOps for test scenarios, cases, and scripts, driving quality assurance activities throughout the iterative development, testing, and deployment lifecycle.
- Analyze and prioritize test activities in Azure DevOps, ensuring efficient allocation of testing resources and alignment with release schedules and project milestones.
- Participate in code reviews to identify potential issues.
- Execute manual and automated testing, validating against approved design documents and user stories.
- Simulate API interactions within test environments to verify external data source integrations and data flow, including with data stores outside of the MS Dataverse.
- Complete or assist in accessibility testing using a Voluntary Product Accessibility Template (VPAT) against the EN 301 549 (2021) standard
- Identify and document defects, and author detailed bug reports with clear steps to reproduce issues.
- Author test execution reports with results and defect summaries.
- Assist in the prioritization of defects based on severity and impact.
- Create and maintain test automation frameworks and scripts in Azure DevOps, enhancing testing efficiency and coverage.
- Advocate for and implement DevOps best practices in the testing domain.
- Document test artifacts, including test plans, test cases, defect reports, and test execution logs, ensuring thorough traceability and support for maintenance and future enhancements.
- Support project resources as they review and resolve defects.
- Plan and execute regression testing.
- Facilitate knowledge transfer and training sessions on quality assurance processes and tools for IM/IT and Supervision staff, promoting a culture of quality across the organization.
- Prepare detailed reports and updates for senior management, in terms of the quality / testing dimension.

Required Experience:
- 10+ years working as a QA Tester
- Experience using Azure DevOps for test management and execution
- Experience testing solutions developed on the MS Power Platform and MS Dynamics technology stack
- Experience evaluating accessibility against standards such as WCAG, EN301 549, etc.
- Experience testing both the French and English components of bilingual software systems
