Position: Prompt Engineer Intern

Duration: 4 months

Location: Remote

Stipend: â‚ą20,000 per month


We’re looking for a hands-on Prompt Engineer Intern to join our small but mighty team. You’ll work directly with product and engineering to craft, test, and optimize high-impact prompts and agent flows that power our core features. This role is perfect for someone passionate about AI, curious about LLM behaviors, and eager to see their work surface in a live SaaS product.


Key Responsibilities:

- Design & Iterate Prompts

  • Write clear, context-rich prompts for multiple models (GPT family, Claude, Gemini, etc.)
  • Define variables and constraint patterns (__$variables, length/style limits)
  • A/B test prompt variants to measure response quality and relevance

- Build Expert Agents

  • Help codify “expert” agents (e.g., code assistant, market analyst) by chaining prompts and parsing outputs
  • Develop fail-safes and recovery strategies for off-topic or low-quality answers

- Data Collection & Analysis

  • Gather user feedback and performance metrics (accuracy, coherence, speed)
  • Analyze logs to uncover common failure modes and optimization opportunities

- Collaboration & Documentation

  • Work closely with engineers to integrate prompting logic into our React/Next.js codebase
  • Maintain a living prompt library with clear documentation and version history


Qualifications:

  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s program in CS, Data Science, AI/ML, or related
  • Strong written communication—you can craft precise instructions in plain English
  • Basic coding skills in JavaScript, Python, or similar
  • Curiosity about LLMs—you’ve experimented with ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, or open-source models
  • Analytical mindset—you love digging into data and iterating until it’s right
