Project Manager - Testing Transformation Initiative


Genesis10 is seeking a Project/Program Manager for a 12-month contract position with a financial services client located in Milwaukee, WI. This role is 100% remote supporting the Central Time Zone. Pay range $45-57/hr W2.

Summary:

Genesis10 is looking for a highly skilled Project/Program Manager to support a large, cross-functional Testing Transformation initiative, as well as lead major technology projects within the Investment Products and Services (IPS) organization. This role requires advanced program leadership, strong executive communication skills, and the ability to manage complex vendor relationships, including contract oversight and metric reporting.

The ideal candidate has extensive experience driving delivery in multi-team environments, excels in Agile practices, and can navigate dependencies, risks, and prioritization across multiple workstreams. You will partner closely with engineering, product, and leadership teams to ensure strategic alignment and successful execution of high-impact initiatives.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead program management activities for a large Testing Transformation initiative.
  • Organize and facilitate quarterly PI-planning events to ensure alignment and execution.
  • Drive accountability across teams to meet deliverables and timelines.
  • Support the Lead Program Manager with reporting, risk tracking, and communication plans.
  • Manage vendor relationships, oversee contracts, and evaluate performance metrics.
  • Own execution of large, sophisticated projects or multiple medium-sized projects (typically 1-year duration, :$1M budget, cross-functional).
  • Define and manage project scope, schedule, cost, quality, risks, and implementation strategies.
  • Assign, lead, and supervise complex resources, adjusting as priorities evolve.
  • Maintain clear communication channels across engineering teams, program leadership, and stakeholders.
  • Identify and manage cross-team interdependencies; coordinate integration environments.
  • Track dependent features through CI/CD processes and support backlog refinement.
  • Highlight risks and issues to leadership while proactively removing blockers.
  • Mentor teams and partners in Agile best practices.
  • Develop comprehensive delivery plans; manage changes to scope and schedule.
  • Fulfill status reporting requirements and support strategic planning activities.
  • Perform additional related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field; or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 6 years of project management experience within technology organizations.
  • Experience managing large, complex, cross-functional initiatives.
  • Strong executive-level communication and presentation skills.
  • Experience managing vendors, contracts, and performance metrics.
  • Strong understanding of Agile methodologies.
  • Working knowledge of project management and Agile tools.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to operate in complex, multi-stakeholder environments.

Nice to Haves:

  • Experience with JIRA and/or JIRA Align (strongly preferred).
  • Experience working with distributed teams.
