Project Manager
Contract: 6 Months + extensions
Location: 100% Remote
Rate: $50-53/hr
We are seeking an experienced CAS Project Manager Contractor to work directly with a team of accountants supporting Client Accounting Services (CAS) engagements. This role is a hands-on project management position responsible for keeping teams on track, holding stakeholders accountable, and serving as a key point of communication between internal teams and clients. The ideal candidate comes from a professional services environment, is highly detail-oriented, and excels at managing multiple workstreams, timelines, and stakeholders while ensuring high-quality, timely delivery of financial services.
Key Responsibilities
Project Management & Team Accountability
- Partner directly with CAS accounting teams to manage day-to-day project execution and ensure work stays on track
- Hold team members accountable to timelines, deliverables, and quality standards
- Facilitate regular check-ins, team meetings, and one-on-one sessions to address risks, roadblocks, and priorities
- Provide hands-on guidance and support, with a strong focus on newly onboarded associates and clients
Client Communication & Stakeholder Management
- Provide clear, timely project updates to clients
- Act as a point of coordination between clients and internal CAS teams
- Ensure expectations are aligned and proactively address issues before they escalate
Mentorship & Enablement
- Serve as a project management mentor to CAS team members, offering coaching and best-practice guidance
- Promote a collaborative, inclusive, and high-accountability team environment
- Support personal and professional growth of team members through structured feedback and coaching
Performance Monitoring & Reporting
- Implement and maintain robust tracking and monitoring systems at the individual, team, and engagement level
- Conduct regular evaluations to identify gaps, risks, and improvement opportunities
- Prepare detailed performance reports and present findings and recommendations to leadership
Quality & Delivery Excellence
- Ensure the delivery of high-quality, timely financial services through proactive project oversight
- Continuously refine processes to improve consistency, efficiency, and outcomes across CAS engagements
Required Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Project Manager within a professional services, accounting, advisory, or consulting environment
- Demonstrated ability to manage cross-functional teams and multiple priorities simultaneously
- Exceptional attention to detail and strong organizational skills
- Excellent communication skills, with experience providing client-facing updates
- Comfortable working independently in a fully remote environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting accounting, finance, or CAS teams
- Familiarity with Monday.com and/or Carbon task tracking tools
- PMP or other project management certification (nice to have, not required)
Eligibility Requirements:
- Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required.
- As a contractor, including remote contractors, you may be required to complete a background check.
As a contractor, you will be paid for the time you work; this does not include paid time off (PTO) or holidays. If you participate in our Payroll Services (W2) engagement, you may be eligible for Paid Sick Leave (PSL), depending on your work location and state-specific regulations.
