We are looking for a Senior Backend Engineer (Python/AWS) to join a cross-functional team and build the next generation of digital products. You will design, develop and run backend services and data-driven solutions that create real value for our business.


Working in an agile environment, you will:

  • Shape and implement technology and business solutions for our Lines of Business
  • Build, deploy and maintain scalable, cloud-native services on AWS
  • Develop and improve RESTful APIs and data pipelines
  • Explore new tools and technologies and bring them into our stack where relevant
  • Collaborate with product owners, engineers and stakeholders to refine user stories, deliver features and resolve technical issues
  • Help drive optimisation and operations research initiatives within the product


Kogo poszukujemy?

  • Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science or similar
  • 5+ years of backend development with Python and AWS, building scalable, high-performance systems
  • Strong experience creating RESTful APIs (Flask or similar), CI/CD and Docker
  • Solid understanding of cloud architecture and running complex solutions on AWS
  • Experience with Agile/SCRUM, TDD and DDD
  • Ability to model and solve complex optimisation problems is an advantage
  • Experience with PostgreSQL and data pipelines (ingestion, integration, visualisation) is a plus
  • Excellent English communication skills and ability to work in teams of 5+ people
  • Curious, proactive, business-oriented mindset and strong sense of ownership across architecture, development and support
