About the Opportunity

A leading global organization is seeking an experienced and commercially driven Procurement Category Manager to join its growing procurement team. This is a high-impact, strategic role responsible for managing approximately $20M in annual spend across key categories, delivering measurable cost savings, and serving as a trusted business partner to stakeholders across the organization.

  • Manage $20M+ in annual category spend, delivering consistent year-over-year savings of 5–10% while maintaining quality and service levels
  • Lead end-to-end strategic sourcing events — RFx processes, supplier evaluations, negotiations, contract awards, and implementation planning
  • Negotiate favorable pricing, terms, SLAs, and contract provisions across complex, high-value agreements
  • Build and maintain strategic supplier partnerships through quarterly business reviews, performance scorecards, and continuous improvement programs
  • Partner with internal stakeholders to deliver procurement solutions that balance cost, quality, risk, and innovation

  • Identify and mitigate supply chain risks; ensure supplier compliance with regulatory and policy requirements
  • Implement KPI frameworks to drive supplier accountability and service excellence
  • Champion procurement process improvements and best practice adoption across the function
  • Mentor junior procurement staff and share category expertise across the organization

What we are looking for:

Essential:

  • 7–10 years of progressive procurement or category management experience in a corporate environment
  • Proven track record managing $15M+ in annual spend and delivering consistent YoY savings of 5–10%+
  • Deep expertise in strategic sourcing methodologies — RFx, should-cost modeling, TCO analysis, and supplier evaluation frameworks
  • Strong commercial negotiation skills with demonstrated success in complex, high-value contract situations
  • Solid understanding of category markets, supply base dynamics, and pricing structures
  • Advanced analytical and financial acumen — spend analysis, cost modeling, and business case development
  • Exceptional stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence senior leaders and cross-functional teams
  • Proficiency with procurement platforms (SAP Ariba, Coupa, Oracle, or similar), spend analytics tools, and advanced Excel; BI tools a plus
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with executive presence

Desirable:

  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, Business Administration, or a related field
  • Professional certification: CPM, CPSM, CSCP, or equivalent
  • Contract law knowledge and experience with complex terms and conditions
  • Project management certification or demonstrated project leadership experience

This is a genuine opportunity to make a measurable impact within a high-performing, globally connected procurement team. You will have real spend ownership, strategic visibility, and the opportunity to shape category strategy from the ground up — all within a collaborative, hybrid working environment.
