Job Description:
As a Performance Marketing Manager, you will play a key role in driving customer acquisition and retention for the James Michelle E-Commerce and Amazon businesses. Reporting directly to the Director of Growth Marketing, you'll be assisting in management and optimization of performance marketing channels including Paid Social (Meta, TikTok), SEM, Affiliate Marketing, SEO, SMS, Email, Website Optimization, Amazon, and Print. You will help develop, execute, and refine data-driven campaigns across these channels, working with external agencies for seamless execution.
You will also help analyze creative performance and communicate content needs to the content marketing team for the different paid media channels, ensuring assets are optimized for each platform’s requirements and aligned with performance insights.

Measurement and data analysis are at the core of your approach, and you are passionate about using insights to refine and optimize performance.
Responsibilities
- Help drive the efficient revenue growth of both new and existing customers across performance marketing channels like Paid Social, SEM, Affiliate Marketing, SEO, SMS, Email, Website Optimization, Amazon, and Print.
- Develop performance-focused creative concepts for digital marketing campaigns, aligning with the merchandising strategy and ensuring consistency with the brand’s tone, aesthetics, and overall vision.
- Work closely with the content and influencer marketing team to brief and utilize creative for performance-based digital marketing campaigns.
- Track and optimize key performance metrics such as CPA, CPC, CVR, CAC, Repeat Purchaser Rate, ROI, and ROAS to ensure that marketing and creative efforts align with business objectives.
- Communicate performance insights and results to leadership, offering data-driven recommendations for continuous improvement.
- Develop customer segmentation and targeting strategies across channels, optimizing campaign performance and enhancing customer engagement.
- Assist in the preparation of weekly, monthly, and quarterly sales reporting, evaluating the effectiveness of all marketing channels.
- Collaborate with content, merchandising, and design team members to execute campaigns, product launches, promotions, and seasonal initiatives.
- Work with our web development agency to design landing page wireframes and optimize website funnels.
- Research and demo new performance platforms (e.g., podcast, TV, CTV)
- Play an active role in researching and implementing new marketing technologies, such as automation tools and analytics platforms.
About You
- 3-5+ years of experience in a direct-to-consumer business, with a focus on e-commerce and digital marketing. Jewelry, beauty, or fashion/apparel industries preferred.
- 3-5+ years of paid media experience in Meta & TikTok advertising
- You should be comfortable providing data-driven recommendations that directly influence customer acquisition, retention, and website conversion.
- Ability to manage multiple campaigns and digital marketing platforms simultaneously.
- Familiarity with retention marketing tools such as Klaviyo, Attentive, or similar platforms is a plus.
- Experience with Shopify.
- Comfortable with marketing technologies and A/B testing.
- Strong analytical mindset, with experience developing KPI frameworks and using data to optimize campaign performance and achieve business goals.
- Experience with Excel, the ability to build reports and analyze large data sets to inform decision-making.
- Results-driven, with a focus on strategic thinking, innovation, and continuous learning.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with an understanding of how to blend brand tone with performance marketing best-practices.
- Collaborative, driven, & goal-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple projects and tight deadlines effectively.
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills, with a self-motivated, proactive approach to driving success.
- Bachelor’s degree required. Business or Marketing degree preferred.
