National Climate Fellow
Change the Chamber is a nonpartisan coalition dedicated to advancing climate action. Comprising young adults, over 100 student groups, and allied organizations, we focus on advocating for science-based climate policies. Our campaign aims to drive meaningful change toward a sustainable future and empower individuals and communities to act. We work together to build momentum for environmental progress and policy initiatives.
The National Climate Fellow is a remote volunteer position focused on advancing Change the Chamber's mission. Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting climate-focused research, shaping sustainability advocacy strategies, assisting in the development of climate-related campaigns, and engaging in outreach efforts with partner organizations. Additional tasks include writing and editing materials for public engagement, coordinating virtual events, and contributing to social media and digital communication efforts. This role is an excellent opportunity to develop skills in climate policy advocacy while making a meaningful impact.
- Strong skills in Research, Analysis, and Strategic Planning related to sustainability and climate advocacy.
- Communication skills, including Writing, Editing, and crafting content for public engagement and digital platforms.
- Experience with Outreach, Networking, and Collaborating effectively with diverse organizations and stakeholders.
- Proficiency in Social Media Management and familiarity with Digital Communication tools is preferred.
- Passion for combating climate change, with a strong understanding of climate policies and related challenges.
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment, with strong time management and organizational skills.
- Previous experience with nonprofit campaigns or sustainability initiatives is a plus.
