Mobile App Developer - Internship (USA ONLY)

A Tech Company in San Diego County is looking to bring on a Mobile App Developer (Android) Internship for this semester.


Candidate must be in PST or Central Time Zone

Job Location: Remote

Compensation: $1



Responsibilities:

A Mobile App Developer (Android) designs, builds, and maintains Android applications. They focus on creating seamless mobile experiences and are responsible for the full app development lifecycle.

  • Design: Create mobile app architectures, user interfaces, and technical roadmaps
  • Develop: Write clean, efficient code using Android frameworks (Kotlin/Java), integrate APIs, and enhance existing applications
  • Test: Conduct QA testing, debug issues, and optimize app performance
  • Deploy: Publish applications to testing environments and the Google Play Store
  • Maintain: Ensure app stability, scalability, and address technical debt
  • Communicate: Collaborate with designers, backend developers, and product teams
  • Mentor: Support and guide junior developers when applicable



Skills:
  • Proficiency in Android development (Kotlin and/or Java)
  • Strong understanding of mobile UI/UX principles
  • Knowledge of data structures, algorithms, and design patterns
  • Experience with RESTful APIs and third-party integrations
  • Familiarity with Android SDK, Android Studio, and Jetpack components
  • Experience with testing frameworks (Espresso, JUnit) is a plus



Qualifications:
  • 2+ years of experience (professional or project-based) in Android development (Must Have)
  • Experience building and deploying mobile applications on Android
  • Experience integrating APIs and working with backend services
  • Familiarity with databases (SQLite, Firebase, or similar)
  • Self-starter with strong problem-solving skills and work ethic



Schedule:

Monday to Friday (Min 20–40 hours per week)

Upon completion of the internship program, interns will be evaluated for a potential paid full-time role.
