Role Description

This is a contract-based, remote role for a Remote MDS Consultant. The consultant will be responsible for assessing and optimizing Minimum Data Set (MDS) processes, providing expertise in regulatory compliance, assisting in quality improvement initiatives, and supporting staff training and development. Responsibilities include reviewing and ensuring accurate resident assessments, implementing best practices, offering recommendations for optimization, and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to enhance performance.

Qualifications

Proficiency in Minimum Data Set (MDS) assessments, care planning, and understanding of corresponding regulations
Experience with quality improvement processes and strategies in long-term care or skilled nursing settings
Abilities in staff education, training development, and mentoring teams
Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a remote environment
RN, LPN, or other relevant clinical background required; RAC-CT credential preferred
Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) and MDS software systems
