Role Description

This is a part-time, remote role for a Marketing Communication Assistant. The Marketing Communication Assistant will be responsible for supporting communication strategies, assisting with marketing campaigns and collateral, events, and creating promotional content. The role involves collaborating with the marketing team to ensure consistency in brand messaging and executing sales support activities.


Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in planning and scheduling content across social media, email, and blog platforms
  • Write clear, engaging copy for marketing collateral, digital ads, emails, landing pages, and campaigns
  • Support influencer and player-based marketing initiatives
  • Conduct research on industry trends, competitors, and player engagement
  • Coordinate campaign timelines and deliverables with internal and external teams
  • Help manage analytics reports and optimize based on performance data
  • Update website and app content using basic CMS tools
  • Assist with grassroots outreach and community-building initiatives


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or related field is preferred
  • 1–2 years of experience in marketing, copywriting, or sports media
  • Strong writing and editing skills with a portfolio or samples of marketing copy
  • Familiarity with tools like Canva, Google Workspace, Buffer/Hootsuite, Hubspot, and basic CMS
  • A passion for sports (MLB a major plus), especially athlete-driven content and fan engagement
  • Able to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-moving startup environment


Bonus Points

  • Experience with NIL (Name, Image, Likeness) campaigns or athlete influencer marketing
  • Adobe Creative Suite skills
  • Knowledge of fantasy sports or sports betting industries
