Marketing Assistant

Help us change how families experience the fourth trimester.

Sanhu House offers premium, wraparound postpartum care rooted in Korean Sanhujori traditions—warmth, recovery, and nutrition—reimagined for modern California families. We coordinate doula-led care, specialist support, and mother-centered recovery programming so new parents can actually rest and heal instead of just surviving.

We're a small, mission-driven team (five people) supporting families through one of life's most vulnerable transitions. Now we need someone to help us tell that story with clarity, taste, and heart.

This is a 10-15 hour/week contract role—flexible and remote-friendly, ideal for someone who wants meaningful work without full-time commitment.

What You'll Do

You'll be the right hand to our head of brand, bringing our content strategy to life across platforms. This means:

  • Social content creation – Turn postpartum truths, care principles, and client stories into premium Reels, carousels, and short-form video that educates and converts (not just inspires). You'll use Canva and CapCut daily to create content that feels editorial and sophisticated—never generic "mom inspo."
  • SEO and educational content – Write blog posts, service pages, and guides that help families understand what real postpartum support looks like. You'll translate keywords into content that's searchable and genuinely helpful.
  • Community engagement – Respond to comments and DMs with warmth and competence. Manage our Yelp and Google review presence. Show up like the helpful friend with excellent taste that our brand embodies.
  • Design and brand support – Create slides, one-pagers, and assets that maintain our premium, minimal aesthetic. Help keep our brand consistent as we grow.
  • Sales and operations support – Light admin work like scheduling consultations, organizing client materials, and keeping our CRM tidy.

You'll Thrive Here If...
  • You understand postpartum—not theoretically, but in your bones. Maybe you've been through it yourself. You know what new mothers actually need versus what the internet tells them they need.
  • You believe postpartum care shouldn't be an afterthought—and you want to help build something that treats recovery as sacred.
  • You can work independently. We're a lean team. You'll get clear direction and context, then trusted to execute with judgment and care.
  • You think in specifics, not platitudes. You know the difference between "we support you" and "here's exactly what postpartum care looks like, day by day."
  • You have taste. You can tell when something feels premium versus when it's trying too hard. You know how to make social content that's warm and real without being cheesy or overly designed.
  • You're curious and resourceful. Marketing at a small company means wearing multiple hats and figuring things out as you go.
