Marketing and Communications Coordinator


POSITION SUMMARY:

The Association of Migraine Disorders (AMD) is a leading global non-profit organization dedicated to educating patients and healthcare providers, funding and conducting research, and raising awareness through our international Shades for Migraine campaign.


We are currently seeking a Marketing and Communications Coordinator to join our growing team. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to meaningful initiatives that improve the lives of those living with migraine and other headache disorders.


The Marketing and Communications Coordinator plays a key role in executing AMD’s digital communication strategy. This person is responsible for publishing content across multiple platforms, developing newsletters for both patients and healthcare providers, and supporting marketing outreach efforts. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, creative, and comfortable managing multiple projects in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment.


HOURS:

40 hours per week - This position will be remote.


RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Format and design monthly patient and quarterly health care provider newsletters.
  • Coordinate the publish blogs, podcasts, and explainer videos across web and social platforms.
  • Support marketing outreach efforts for the HEADS patient registry and Migraine APPrenticeship program as well as other initiatives as needed.
  • Assist with planning and scheduling editorial content across all channels.
  • Support social media and marketing efforts for the Shades for Migraine campaign, including developing content, managing posting schedules, monitoring engagement, designing newsletters and supporting overall brand visibility across platforms.
  • Monitor the performance of published content and recommend improvements based on insights.
  • Support general administrative tasks and assist with other duties as assigned to meet team and organizational needs.


QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Journalism, Public Health, or a related field
  • 1–3 years of experience in content creation, marketing, or digital communications (healthcare or nonprofit experience a plus)
  • Must have excellent writing, editing, and formatting skills 
  • Proficiency with email marketing tools (e.g., Constant Contact) and publishing platforms (e.g., WordPress)
  • Graphic design skills (e.g., Canva, Adobe Express) preferred
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple deadlines
  • Interest in healthcare education, migraine and patient advocacy
  • Familiarity with SEO and analytics tools
  • Experience in video/audio publishing (e.g., YouTube, podcast platforms)
  • Social media management or TikTok content strategy

PAY RANGE: $50,000 - $55,000 per year
