We are looking for a motivated Game Designer to join our Games team **in North America.

**You'll work with a tight-knit team of enthusiastic industry professionals from all walks of life. You will use your passion and knowledge to create new experiences for a casual audience on web and mobile, using industry best practices. You are passionate about and have experience working in areas including systems, events, economy, and multi-player design. You will report directly to the Product Director and have a high level of interaction with other leads and team members. This role is fully remote work.

**What You Will Do

**

  • Design oversight and balancing of Live Service content updates and Pogo site events.
  • Collaborate with external partners on the execution of Live Service content updates.
  • Create in-game and site copy text for Live Service content updates and Pogo site events.
  • Collaborate with the Product team to analyze Live Service content updates.
  • Partner with Pogo Production and Product to lead the design of new features to improve the player experience and business.
  • Create design documentation, and level design to communicate functionality and vision to the team.
  • Work with multiple disciplines to align on designs.
  • Adapt to technical and production constraints and participate in finding solutions to improve features.
  • Design flexible economy systems and features (such as progression and reward structures, currencies, sinks & sources ) aligned with the creative, game, and product directions.
  • Implement, tune, and balance game systems, economies, and progression gathering feedback and adjusting design accordingly
  • Analyze data and react to current trends in the industry in order to create new content.
  • Articulate design choices regarding the player experience and motivations.
  • Remain current on level design theory and best practices.
  • Be an advocate for the player.

**What You Bring

**

  • 1+ years of design experience, with shipped games in casual/mobile.
  • Experience with casual and F2P design; including MTX and social features.
  • Experience designing features and systems
  • Passion for making games, and an understanding of the casual market.
  • Individual contributor with the potential and willingness to manage a small design team
  • Evidence of work in an agile environment, creating alignment on live service deliverables.
  • Excellent verbal and written skills.
  • Experience working with a distributed development team
  • Knowledge of the game industry, trends, competition, platforms, and market.

**Compensation And Benefits

**The base salary ranges listed below are for the defined geographic market pay zones in these locations. If you reside outside of these locations, a recruiter will advise on the range and benefits for your specific location.

Pay offered will be determined based on numerous relevant business and candidate factors including, for example, education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, and business or organizational needs.

BASE SALARY RANGES

  • California (depending on location e.g. Los Angeles vs. Sacramento):

º $82,500 - $122,900 USD Annually

  • New York (depending on location e.g. Manhattan vs. Buffalo):

º $76,000 - $122,900 USD Annually

  • Jersey City, NJ :

º $99,000 - $122,900 USD Annually

  • Colorado (depending on location e.g. Denver vs. Colorado Springs):

º $91,600 - $122,200 USD Annually

  • Washington (depending on location e.g. Seattle vs. Spokane):

º $76,000 - $109,200 USD Annually

  • British Columbia (depending on location e.g. Vancouver vs. Victoria):

º $73,200 - $101,700 CAN Annually

Base salary is just one part of the overall compensation at EA. In the US, we offer a package of benefits including paid time off (3 weeks per year to start), 80 hours per year of sick time, 16 paid company holidays per year, 10 weeks paid time off to bond with baby, medical/dental/vision insurance, life insurance, disability insurance, and 401(k) to regular full-time employees. Certain roles may also be eligible for bonus and equity. For British Columbia, we offer a package of benefits including vacation (3 weeks per year to start), 10 days per year of sick time, paid top-up to EI/QPIP benefits up to 100% of base salary when you welcome a new child (12 weeks for maternity, and 4 weeks for parental/adoption leave), extended health/dental/vision coverage, life insurance, disability insurance, retirement plan to regular full-time employees. Certain roles may also be eligible for bonus and equity.
