Junior Cloud & Linux Systems Engineer

Reports To: Sr. Cloud Engineer Team Leader


Salary Range: $41,000–$52,000 MXN gross per month


About the Role

We are seeking a Jr Cloud & Linux Systems Engineer to support and optimize cloud-based infrastructure and applications within our client’s ecosystem.

This role is ideal for someone with hands-on AWS experience, a strong operational mindset, and an AI-first approach to automation and efficiency. You will help ensure system reliability, performance, security, and scalability while collaborating closely with engineering and DevOps teams.


What You’ll Do

  • Manage and support basic cloud infrastructure and related services
  • Perform Linux OS management and troubleshooting
  • Troubleshoot infrastructure and application-level issues
  • Document incidents, configurations, and operational procedures
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to improve system performance and reliability
  • Contribute to automation initiatives with an AI-first mentality
  • Leverage tools such as GitHub Copilot, MCPs, and GitHub Agent to enhance productivity and operational efficiency


Qualifications

  • Strong Linux systems administration skills
  • Experience in cloud operations
  • Hands-on experience managing AWS infrastructure in production environments (optional)
  • basic database administration
  • Scripting or coding knowledge: Python
  • Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills
  • Ability to work in dynamic, fast-paced environments
  • Associate degree or equivalent professional experience required; Bachelor’s degree in a technical field preferred


  • English level: C1+ (advanced, professional communication required)
