Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Lead Node.js Backend Developer to join our growing team. This is a remote position where you will play a crucial role in designing and implementing scalable backend solutions to support our next generation of applications. As a lead, you’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams, provide technical leadership, and ensure that our systems are robust, secure, and efficient.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design, development, and deployment of backend services using Node.js and related technologies.
  • Architect and implement scalable, high-performance APIs and microservices.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to other developers on the team.
  • Collaborate closely with front-end developers, DevOps, and product managers to ensure seamless integration of backend services.
  • Ensure high standards of code quality through reviews, automated testing, and best practices.
  • Monitor and optimize backend performance, security, and scalability.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve production issues in a timely manner.

Qualifications:

  • 8+ years of professional experience in backend development, with a focus on Node.js.
  • Proven experience in leading development teams or large-scale projects.
  • Strong understanding of API design, microservices architecture, and RESTful services.
  • Expertise in working with databases (both SQL and NoSQL).
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Solid understanding of security best practices and performance tuning.
  • Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Nice to Have:

  • Experience with GraphQL.
  • Knowledge of containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Experience in the beverage or distribution industry is a plus.
