What You'll Do (Responsibilities)
As an intern on the IT team, you'll be introduced to a broad range of hands-on experiences that span day-to-day IT support, organizational security practices, and exposure to DevOps implementation. Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Assist day-to-day with IT requests from team members, such as troubleshooting access issues, basic hardware/software questions, or help route requests to the appropriate owner
- Help track weekly timesheets
- Assist with monitoring client websites to help identify outages and flag concerns to the appropriate team
- Help maintain internal IT and DevOps documentation, ensuring information stays current and easy to understand
- Support Ongoing Cybersecurity Efforts:
- Assist with monitoring alerts from security systems, escalating when necessary
- Help organize, update, and document security policies and procedures
- Work cross-functionally to help ensure security policies are understood and implemented consistently across the organization
- Gain exposure to best practices around organizational security, risk prevention, and compliance in a real-world business environment
- Be a Go-To Team Player:
- Step in to help wherever support is needed—whether it's a last-minute project or lending a hand to keep things running behind the scenes
- Bring a proactive, curious mindset—ask questions, offer support, and learn how teams collaborate
We're looking for a motivated, detail-oriented intern who is eager to learn how IT, security, and client hosting work within a fast-paced, collaborative digital agency environment. The ideal candidate will bring curiosity, reliability, and a willingness to jump in where needed.
- 1+ years of professional work experience
- Currently enrolled in or recently completed a program in Information Technology, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Systems, or a related field
- Strong interest in IT operations, cybersecurity, DevOps, or web hosting environments
- Basic understanding of computer systems, operating systems, and common software tools
- Comfortable learning new tools and technologies and asking questions when something is unclear
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, especially when documenting processes or tracking tasks
- Clear written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate with both technical and non-technical team members
- Reliable, proactive, and able to manage time effectively in a remote work environment
- Familiarity with web technologies, hosting platforms, or content management systems (e.g., WordPress or similar)
- Exposure to cybersecurity concepts such as antivirus tools, access controls, password management, or security best practices
- Basic knowledge of cloud platforms, DevOps concepts, or monitoring tools
- Experience working in a remote or hybrid team environment
