Human Resources Information System Analyst


Work Model: Fully Remote (transitioning to Hybrid - 4 days onsite in future)

Duration: 6 months with possible extension and conversion potential


About the role:

This is a position for day-to-day operational support within the HRIS team, specifically supporting I-9 compliance and HR systems functionality. You will serve as the liaison between staff and vendors/Technology partners while ensuring data accuracy and successful HR operations. This role offers 2 months of comprehensive training and sits within a collaborative 3-person team focused on I-9 processing and HR system maintenance.

Responsibilities:

• Analyze and maintain system functionality and data in HR systems to ensure accuracy and successful operations

• Serve as liaison between staff, vendors, and Technology partners supporting HR systems

• Support the HR line of business in various concurrent HR initiatives and special programs

• Perform data analysis, validations, and audits in HR systems to ensure quality control and adherence to procedures

• Communicate results of analysis, validations, and audits to necessary internal customers

• Develop and maintain training documentation and standard operating procedures for system use

• Participate in issue tracking and resolution activities for HR Systems

• Proactively assess internal customer needs and recommend improvements to leverage HR systems effectively

• Ensure the safety and confidentiality of Employee data

• Assist with identification of new HR needs, system upgrades, implementations, data collection, and testing

• Establish and maintain up-to-date HRIS functional departmental documentation


Must Have Responsibilities:

• Work from a master spreadsheet with assigned I-9s each week, ensuring timely processing

• Reach out to managers to verify I-9 forms are completed correctly and compliantly

• Validate I-9 documentation accuracy and resolve discrepancies

• Collaborate with internal stakeholders only (I-9 team and HR partners)

• Attend weekly 1-hour team meetings (additional training meetings during initial 2-month period)

Experience:

• 1-2 years of overall professional experience

• 2 years of I-9 processing and compliance experience (required)

• 1 year of HR operations experience (required)

• Experience handling confidential employee data and HR systems


Skillsets:

Must Have:

• I-9 administration and compliance (2+ years)

• HR operations experience (1+ year)

• Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook)

• High attention to detail and accuracy

• Strong organizational skills

• Verbal and written communication skills

• Problem-solving skills and interpersonal skills

• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively

Nice to Have:

• Workday HRIS experience

• Reverification process experience

• TNC (Tentative Nonconfirmation) handling

• Virtual I-9 completion experience

• Lawson software experience

• Basic knowledge of SQL, Visual Basic, or similar

• Design techniques and principles for production of drawings and models


Education:

Bachelor's Degree in HR, Computer Science, or relevant subject (preferred - experience is prioritized over education)
