The Infectious Disease Alliance (IDA) is recruiting two voluntary roles to strengthen our internal operations:
- HR Associate
- HR Associate Director
These roles are ideal for professionals or students looking to gain hands-on experience in a global health nonprofit, support a growing network, and help shape inclusive and efficient people systems.
The Infectious Disease Alliance (IDA) is a Copenhagen-based civil society platform working to strengthen coordination, financing, and advocacy around global infectious disease policy. We engage with civil society, global health institutions, researchers, and funders to influence priority setting and foster inclusive partnerships.
The HR Associate will support daily HR and coordination activities, including recruitment, onboarding, team communications, and maintaining records. This is a great opportunity for someone early in their HR or nonprofit career to gain valuable experience.
Key tasks:
- Post vacancies, coordinate candidate outreach, and schedule interviews
- Support onboarding of new members, volunteers, and partners
- Maintain internal records and HR documentation
- Assist in organizing team-building and internal learning sessions
The Associate Director will play a more strategic role, overseeing HR processes and helping shape IDA’s people strategy. They will work closely with the Executive Director to foster a values-based, high-performing team environment.
Key tasks:
- Lead recruitment strategy and oversee onboarding/offboarding
- Develop and improve HR policies, volunteer coordination systems, and performance review frameworks
- Ensure alignment with IDA’s principles of inclusion, equity, and transparency
- Serve as a focal point for team development and well-being
- Background in HR, organizational psychology, administration, or related field
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Discretion and professionalism in handling sensitive matters
- Experience with intercultural and remote teams is an asset
