Head of Marketing

While the wine industry broadly has been stagnant or contracting in growth, Sophie James is growing at its maximum desired growth rate of 70-80% in the past two years.

This is a rare and exciting opportunity for a highly technical & analytical Growth Marketer with depth in Email and Influencer channels to work directly with the Co-Founders of one of the fastest growing DTC wine brands in the U.S.

We are female-led and 100% family owned by a first-generation husband and wife team who have three young daughters. We produce organically farmed, dry (sugar-free) wines with the belief that we all deserve quality wine like the Europeans have enjoyed for centuries, but grown from our vibrant and diverse Sonoma soils and climate.

We have validated messaging and storytelling that predictably piques interest from our target demographic to join our club. We have exceeded acquisition targets this year and re-platformed our business, enabling our marketing team with new email, influencer and ecommerce solutions. Conversion rate has more than doubled in Q4, and we’re just getting started.

We believe there are about 8 million women who would be interested to hear our story, but have not yet. However, in order to reach this market, we need to level-up our data & technical capabilities while bringing in a talented Head of Marketing who can take the reins on our acquisition execution to ensure everyone aligns their respective daily contributions to the company goals according to their individual expertise and creative genius.

In doing so, we expect to increasingly reach our target market, while generating more bountiful results from the creativity and hard work our team continuously delivers.
