About The Role

We are seeking an experienced Frontend Engineer to join our dynamic engineering team. In this role, you will be instrumental in developing and maintaining our customer-centric platform, ensuring a seamless and engaging user experience for thousands of businesses worldwide. You will collaborate closely with designers, product managers, and backend engineers to implement modern UI/UX designs, optimize application performance, and enhance usability. Your expertise in JavaScript, React, and related frontend technologies will be vital in delivering high-quality, scalable, and maintainable code. This position offers the flexibility of remote work, with a focus on fostering a collaborative environment through tools such as Slack, Jira, and GitHub. You will participate in agile development cycles, contribute to design systems, and occasionally work with backend APIs to support frontend features, including PHP and REST APIs. The role provides an exciting opportunity to impact the way businesses connect with their customers while working within a supportive, innovative culture.

Qualifications

  • 4-6 years of professional experience in frontend development
  • Proficiency in JavaScript, React, Redux, Next.js, and CSS
  • Experience working with design systems and implementing UI/UX designs from tools like Figma and Storybook
  • Strong understanding of web performance optimization, security best practices, and accessibility standards
  • Familiarity with backend technologies such as PHP and REST APIs (preferred but not mandatory)
  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills, especially in remote team environments
  • Ability to write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code
  • Experience with testing frameworks like Jest and Cypress
  • Comfortable working in an agile, iterative development process
  • Aligned with or enthusiastic about remote work and flexible schedules
  • Regular working hours overlapping with 9 AM - 1 PM ET

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain high-quality frontend codebases using React, Redux, and Next.js
  • Collaborate with designers to translate UI/UX designs into functional interfaces, utilizing tools like Figma and Storybook
  • Implement and uphold frontend best practices, ensuring code quality, performance, and security
  • Optimize applications for speed, responsiveness, and accessibility
  • Work with backend APIs, particularly RESTful services and PHP, to integrate frontend features
  • Participate in code reviews, team planning, and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Contribute to and utilize our component-based design system for consistency and efficiency
  • Identify and troubleshoot frontend issues, providing timely solutions
  • Engage in two-week development cycles, delivering incremental improvements
  • Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders in a remote setting
