Freelance Video Editor (Short-Form) — 1099 (20–30 hrs/week)

Envizion is a boutique post-production company based in Brooklyn, NY. We craft high-quality edits for digital media companies and Oscar-winning film studios.

We’re expanding our freelance roster and looking for a creative, technically strong short-form Video Editor who can move fast without sacrificing storytelling.

What you’ll do

Edit high-volume short-form content from raw footage to final delivery (TikTok, Reels, Shorts)
Craft strong pacing, selects, and structure, not just cuts
Incorporate feedback quickly and professionally from creative leads
Add music, SFX, basic motion graphics, and captions when needed
Perform basic color correction and audio balancing
Deliver platform-optimized exports (aspect ratios, safe areas, compression, hooks)
Keep projects organized (bins, sequences, naming conventions) and maintain clean handoffs
Stay current on short-form trends and best practices

What we’re looking for

Strong working experience in Adobe Premiere Pro (fast workflow, keyboard shortcuts, clean timelines)
Excellent sense of pacing, rhythm, comedic timing (when applicable), and story
Fluency in TikTok / Instagram Reels / YouTube Shorts formats and conventions
Solid fundamentals in audio (levels, dialogue clarity) and basic color
High attention to detail, reliability, and time management
Comfortable working on tight turnarounds

Hours / Engagement

20–30 hours per week (1099)
Ongoing freelance work with potential to grow based on fit and volume
