Description

Looking to build your experience in financial services and payments?

We’re seeking a detail-focused Financial Analyst to join a fast-paced settlements team. This is a 12-month parental leave cover with genuine potential to become permanent for the right person.

If you enjoy reconciliations, solving discrepancies, and working with data in a deadline-driven environment — this could be the role for you.

integrity, care about our customers and each other, and always seek

opportunities to grow as individuals and as an organisation. We are

immensely proud of our culture – from the moment you step through our

doors, you’ll feel welcome and a part of our journey.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Processing and quality-checking daily merchant settlements
  • Investigating discrepancies and resolving settlement exceptions
  • Preparing journals and supporting month-end processes
  • Completing bank and settlement reconciliations
  • Assisting with reporting, including P&L support
  • Responding to merchant queries and supporting chargeback processes
  • Performing AML and compliance checks

This is a hands-on role where accuracy matters — settlements must be processed on time each day.

Weekend Requirement

Due to the nature of settlement processing, weekend work is required.

The good news? It’s done remotely from home, giving you flexibility while ensuring critical deadlines are met.

What We’re Looking For

  • 1–3 years’ experience in accounting, finance operations, banking, or payments
  • A finance-related qualification (or working towards one) OR equivalent practical experience
  • Strong Excel skills and confidence with reconciliations
  • High attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work in a deadline-driven environment
  • A collaborative and professional communication style

Nice to Have

  • Experience in financial services or merchant acquiring
  • Exposure to settlements, payment schemes or chargebacks
  • Experience with Power BI or Tableau

This is a great opportunity to gain exposure across accounting, settlements, compliance, and merchant support — all within the financial services sector.
