Event Operations & Community Engagement Volunteer or Intern (looking to start ASAP)

Join the organizing team behind the mission-based AI-Powered Women Conference at MIT, a groundbreaking event bringing together women leaders, innovators, and entrepreneurs to harness AI for personal and professional growth.
We’re looking for a motivated, organized, and creative individual to support key areas of conference preparation. This unpaid internship is designed as a hands-on learning experience, ideal for students or early-career professionals eager to gain skills in event operations, marketing, community building, and AI education.
What You’ll Do:
As part of our collaborative, mission-driven team, you’ll gain experience across:
- LinkedIn Engagement: Help craft and schedule posts, engage with relevant communities, and manage direct outreach to potential speakers, sponsors, and partners.
- Cold Emailing: Draft and send personalized outreach emails to prospective sponsors, speakers, and partners.
- Speaker Coordination: Assist with scheduling prep calls, gathering bios, and organizing session logistics.
- AI Certification Program: Contribute to structuring certification pathways based on session topics and assist in setting up certification workflows on Kajabi.
- Community Management: Support the creation of an online space for conference attendees to network, share resources, and engage before and after the event.
- Attendee Communications: Draft email templates for welcomes, reminders, FAQs about logistics/travel/accommodations, and follow-up thank-yous.
- Sponsor Outreach: Research aligned sponsors and assist in outreach to secure partnerships for the conference.
What You’ll Learn:

- Building and scaling an online learning platform.
- Practical skills in CRM, LinkedIn marketing, and sponsor relationship-building.
- Online Community-building techniques for online platforms.
- Exposure to the intersection of AI, leadership, and women’s empowerment.
- Direct mentorship from conference leadership and opportunities to contribute ideas in a supportive, creative environment.
What We’re Looking For:
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent organizational abilities and attention to detail.
- Comfort working independently and managing multiple tasks.
- Enthusiasm for AI, women’s leadership, or tech-driven innovation.
- Familiarity with LinkedIn, Sales Navigator, Excel, AI (not required but helpful).
Details:
- Type: Part-time, unpaid internship (a variety of options for bonuses monetary & non monetary including full free access to the MIT conference Sept 6-7).
- Timeline: Flexible start; runs through September 2025 (conference dates are September 6–7).
- Hours: 10-20 hours/week (flexible around your schedule).
- Location: Remote.
