This JVC will focus on delivering innovative solutions in areas such as the Emissions Trading System (ETS) and carbon credits, helping organizations achieve their environmental goals and comply with global sustainability standards.

Interaktif Çevre

Interaktif Çevre is an environmental consulting firm founded in 2015 as a joint initiative between Kibar Group, a leader in the Turkish industry, and The Heritage Group, which has been operating in the USA since 1930. The company offers innovative solutions in total waste management, zero waste consultancy, and environmental sustainability. Combining Kibar Holding’s extensive industry network with Heritage’s expertise in waste management, Interaktif Çevre provides a comprehensive suite of services, including carbon footprint assessments, data management, and sustainability consulting for various sectors including industrial facilities, hotels, and retail


QUALIFICATIONS AND JOB DESCRIPTION

In this role we are currently seeking a full-time Consultant, to join our Sustainability, Policy & Advisory team. The ideal candidate is an experienced professional driven to achieve the UN Sustainable Development Goals as a trusted advisor to clients accelerating their sustainability plans as a response to market and stakeholder demand. This role includes full remote work.


Job Description

  • Facilitate multi-stakeholder ESG-related workshops
  • Lead business development activities by responding to incoming client leads, conducting business development meetings, developing proposals, closing deals, and growing existing client relationships
  • Serve as project manager, including conducting kickoff meetings, managing client communications, ensuring high quality and on-time deliverables, et al
  • Monitor and control project financials including budget, time tracking, invoicing, and profitability
  • Support our clients’ ESG journeys, with a particular focus on developing ESG communication plans and broader ESG strategies
  • Advise a spectrum of clients and industries ranging from industrial manufacturing to consumer-facing brands, including Fortune 500 companies and sustainability-minded startups on how and what to communicate about their ESG performance
  • Create ESG communications and reporting plans, including key messages development and qualitative analyses including, but not limited to, desktop research, competitor benchmarking, SWOT analysis, gap analysis, stakeholder interviews and workshops.
  • Professional experience in CBAM and Turkish markets.
  • Perform materiality assessments
  • Must be able to conduct Subject Matter Expert interviews, take own notes, and turn findings into actionable recommendations without supervision
  • Must be comfortable interviewing C-level and board level executives and turning their key messages into actionable recommendations without supervision
  • Collaborate with colleagues and client subject matter experts (SMEs) to develop appropriate recommendations related to a variety ESG issues
  • Supervise and coach colleagues on the timely development of high-quality deliverables in the scope of work of client projects
  • Guide the professional development of direct reports
  • Contribute to knowledge-sharing and product development across business units.
  • Create thought leadership through writing for external audiences and/or speaking engagements
  • Foster a team culture driven by collaboration, intellectual curiosity, accountability and empathy


General Qualifications

  • 5 years of direct experience in understanding of corporate sustainability and climate strategy, including global reporting frameworks for ESG and impact reporting (e.g. SASB, TCFD, GRI, etc.) and common ESG raters and rankers
  • Master’s degree on sustainability studies is preferred
  • Ability to conduct journalistic interviews and workshops with senior executives
  • Successful track record in sales and client retention
  • Rigorous planner and excellent communicator, comfortable managing multiple projects simultaneously, balancing shifting priorities, delegating effectively, and contributing expertise to ensure deliverables are completed efficiently
  • Team player with a track record of problem-solving and proactive collaboration
  • Detailed- and growth-orientated; intellectually curious
  • Comfortable working in a remote-first company

  • Advanced degree in business, sustainability, or related field
  • Prior work experience in corporate sustainability and climate strategy
  • Public track record in corporate sustainability, climate strategy with published reports, thought leadership, podcasts, and other channels
  • Prior work experience in corporate sustainability, climate strategy, and environmental justice
  • Experience in CSRD and knowledge in TSRS procedures
