About Role 

We are seeking a highly analytical and field-savvy Environmental Engineer to support environmental assessments, regulatory compliance, and sustainable infrastructure development. This role is responsible for evaluating environmental conditions, managing contamination risks, and ensuring projects meet all environmental regulations while aligning with sustainability goals. 

The ideal candidate combines strong technical expertise with practical field experience and can translate environmental data into actionable engineering solutions that protect public health, ecosystems, and project viability. 


 

Key Roles & Responsibilities 

  1. Environmental Assessments & Studies 
  2. Conduct Phase I & II Environmental Site Assessments (ESA). 
  3. Prepare reports, interpret lab data, and recommend remediation or mitigation measures. 
  4. Perform soil, groundwater, and surface water sampling. 
  5. Regulatory Compliance 
  6. Ensure projects comply with federal, provincial/state, and municipal environmental regulations  
  7. Prepare permit applications for air, water, and waste management. 
  8. Liaise with regulatory authorities and environmental auditors. 
  9. Design & Implementation 
  10. Support design of stormwater management systems, erosion & sediment control, wastewater treatment, and solid waste management facilities. 
  11. Recommend sustainable design strategies for infrastructure and land development projects. 
  12. Monitoring & Reporting 
  13. Oversee environmental monitoring programs (air, water, noise, soil). 
  14. Conduct site inspections and prepare compliance or audit reports. 
  15. Track environmental performance metrics and corrective actions. 
  16. Project Coordination 
  17. Collaborate with civil, geotechnical, and planning teams. 

 


     Technical Skills 


  • Environmental sampling & testing methods 
  • Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) and Environmental Management Plan (EMP) 
  • Groundwater and soil contamination analysis 
  • Wastewater and stormwater treatment design 
  • Air quality modeling and noise impact assessment 
  • Remediation technologies (bioremediation, soil vapor extraction, etc.) 
  • GIS & mapping for environmental data interpretation 
  • Report writing and data visualization

     Qualifications 


  • Master’s in Environmental Engineering / Environmental Science 
  • EIT or P.Eng (or equivalent professional certification) preferred
