Employee Relations Specialist

  • Fully Remote ***Must sit in PST or MST time zone***
  • M-F, 40 hours per week


Duration: 6+ months to start (extendable)

Pay Rate: $60.00 per hour W2

  • Independently lead investigations into employee concerns and policy violations.
  • Serve as a consultative partner to HRBPs and leaders, guiding them through complex disciplinary decisions, performance conversations, and employee interventions. Independently evaluate risk, document findings, and recommend resolutions using a fair and consistent framework.
  • Conduct structured fact-finding processes, interviews, and workplace assessments where appropriate.
  • Identify patterns or systemic issues and collaborate on mitigation strategies, including process changes or policy updates.
  • Provide ER coaching to people leaders, including how to manage employee conflict, provide feedback, or handle difficult conversations.
  • Support ER-related training efforts and mentor Level 4 ER Specialists on best practices in case handling.


Qualifications:

  • 4+ years of experience in employee relations, human resources, conflict resolution, or workplace compliance.
  • Familiarity with employment laws and best practices in employee relations
  • BA/BS degree required
  • Nice to haves: HR or ER certifications (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR); Experience working in a fast-paced, high-growth environment (e.g., tech/startup experience)
