The Email Marketing QA Analyst plays a critical role in the initial and ongoing testing of marketing automation campaigns, including email programs built and deployed through Salesforce Marketing Cloud (SFMC).

Position Overview
The Email Marketing QA Analyst plays a critical role in the initial and ongoing testing of marketing automation campaigns, including email programs built and deployed through Salesforce Marketing Cloud (SFMC).
This role bridges technical expertise, structured process development, and strong cross-functional communication. The ideal candidate will not only develop and automate test cases but also troubleshoot issues within Marketing Cloud throughout the testing lifecycle.
Primary Responsibilities
- Develop comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scenarios
- Build detailed and descriptive test scripts for business users to validate expected functionality
- Validate SQL queries, review segmentation logic, and cross-check audience counts and exclusion logic
- Maintain and continuously update QA validation checklists to align with evolving processes
- Manage QA processes and consolidate stakeholder feedback to identify, document, and troubleshoot issues
- Perform end-to-end journey testing, trigger testing, and data flow validation
- Provide structured feedback and recommendations to support new development initiatives
- Support environment management (UAT, Production) across platforms including Salesforce Sales Cloud and Salesforce Marketing Cloud
- Assist in release management and deployment processes across environments
- Manage and prioritize backlog of defects, bugs, enhancements, and feature requests
- Hands-on experience with Salesforce Marketing Cloud (required)
- Experience validating: Triggered sends Journey-based campaigns Batch campaigns
- Strong understanding of: Automation lifecycle Regression testing cycle Defect lifecycle management
- Working knowledge of: Data Extensions (DEs) Attribute relationships and Contact Builder Subscriber attributes and personalization strings AMPscript (basic to intermediate proficiency) Dynamic content rules
- Experience using project management and ticketing tools such as JIRA, Workfront, or Monday.com
- Solid understanding of testing methodologies including: Static and dynamic testing Black box and white box testing
- Experience in system integration testing (preferred)
- 4-7 years of experience in regression and functional testing environments, preferably within financial services platforms
- Cross-client email validation experience (Outlook, Gmail, Apple Mail, and mobile email clients)
- Strong understanding of responsive HTML email structures
- Experience with: Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) QTP (Mandatory) Marketing automation platforms, specifically Salesforce Marketing Cloud
